Dodge Ball Tournament
We are having a dodge ball tournament May 29th at 6pm! Sign up in school with your team of 5 it only costs $10 a team. The winning team receives a $75 gift certificate to Buffalo Wild Wings H20 for Life t-shirts and of course the prestigious H20 for Life award!!

National Youth Service Learning Convention
H2O for Life will have a booth at the Minneapolis Convention Center this week coming week from Thursday the 10th until Saturday the 12th for the National Youth Service Learning Convention. Come and see us present on Saturday morning at 10:15 am. We will hold a presentation on our projects and how individuals as well as schools, and business can become involved.

Apple Bee's Pancake Breakfast
The date for our next pancake breakfast will be Saturday, April 12th 2008 at the St. Anthony Apple Bee's! Mark your calendars now!
Our Moe's Pancake Breakfast was a success! Good job to all who helped to make this breakfast, a wonderful fundraising opportunity! Thank you CTV 15 for filming part of our first Breakfast!

Moe's Pancake Breakfast
- Tickects are $7 per plate which includes pancakes, eggs, sausageg, and bacon.
- Time: 8:30-11:00pm
- H20 recieves $4 from every ticket sold.
- If we purchase our own Milk and Orange Juice we have the possibilty of making $5 per person.
- We need 15 servers and at least 2 people to greet and take tickets at the door.
- We can also have a table set up to sell items
- We need to volunteer to clean tables and wash dishes.

Pancake Breakfast
January 3rd 2008 Happy New Year! Today's meeting was rather small. We talked about the Star Tribune article on H2O for Life, as well as the upcoming World Water Day Conferenece in Washington D.C. Delegations were made regarding our Pancake breakfast that will be held on February 9th at Moe's in Moundsview. More information will be provided at our next meeting. Hope you all had a good break!

Water Facts
- 1.1 Billion or approximately 1/6 of the world's population does not have access to an improved water supply.
- A person can live weeks without food, but only days without water.
- The average American individual uses 100 to 176 gallons of water at home each day. The average African family uses about 5 gallons.
- Every 15 seconds, a child dies from a water-related diseases.
- 1.8 million children die each year from diarreha-4,900 deaths each day.
- No intervention has greater overall impact upon national development and public health than the provisoin of safe drinking water and the propoer disposal of human waste.
